Hardscape Foreman

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Plans and executes hardscaping projects, using manual and power operated equipment.
  • Installs retaining walls of modular concrete, ledge rock, boulders, and timbers.
  • Prepares layout, using laser level, of patios and walkways with steps and elevation changes and installs according to prints provided.
  • Installs drainage, as part of site development.
  • Assists Project Manager with daily operations and projects.
  • Reports daily field progress.
  • Leader for implementation, safety trainings, team building and participation in crew member reviews.
  • Manages the performance of services.
  • Reading construction documents & drawings.

Requirements:
  • A proven and successful operational management record of at least 3+ years with a thorough knowledge, demonstrated achievement and success within the Landscaping industry is highly preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Able to read scaled landscape drawings.
  • Must have good communication skills with customers, manager, and coworkers.
  • Leader and team player.
  • Energetic and motivated.
  • Punctual & positive attitude.
  • Strong management and organization skills.
  • Experience managing 2-5 person crews.
  • Strong work ethic. Someone who is career-focused, not just looking for a job.
*CDL (minimum class B with air brake) not required but preferred. Company will assist and reimburse.

Irrigation Technician

Full Job Description
Miller Landscape is seeking an additional Irrigation Tech to provide service and maintenance for our commercial and residential client base.

Overview:
Proactively diagnose, repair, and maintain irrigations systems to operate at peak performance efficiency.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.
  • 2 yrs. experience with irrigation systems
  • Basic knowledge including but not limited to timers, piping, and valves.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair irrigation issues.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
  • Strong customer communication is a must.
  • Keep work vehicle and equipment clean and organized.

Yard Attendant

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensure crews can meet “out of gate” time.
  • Loading and unloading trucks with equipment, supplies, and materials for jobs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized yard environment.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensure a safe work environment for customers and employees.

Requirements:
  • Experience with landscape equipment is a MUST (including front end loader/skid steer).
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Chauffeur License is a plus.
  • Great at multitasking and time management.
  • Ability to understand written requests from team members regarding materials.
  • Excellent listening skills and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must possess strong decision making and judgment skills.

Small Engine Mechanic

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment such as:
           Trailers, Lawn Trucks, Mowers, Weed Whippers, Backpack Blowers,
           Edgers, Chain Saws, Sod Cutters, Pruning Shears, Plows, Snow Blowers,
           Salt Spreaders, and various hand tools.
  • Ordering parts and supplies necessary for the job.
  • Comprehend and complete Repair Request Forms
  • Maintain a clean and safe workshop at all times

Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year experience with landscape & outdoor power equipment is a MUST
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Chauffeur License is a plus.
  • Great at multitasking and work effectively under tight deadlines
  • Able to read manuals/schematics to find correct parts
  • Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills
  • Must be able to lift 40+ pounds
